Booking a qualifying event on a Monday unlocks exclusive Mission Mondays perks and priority planning support: a fully equipped meeting space at Second Harvest Food Bank in Orlando, free for the booking window. It’s a chance to host staff, donors or your Board of Directors somewhere new to spark ideas and move your mission forward.

Who Can Book a Mission Monday Event?

Any nonprofit organization that would like to host a meeting on Monday. Proof of tax-exempt status is required upon request. Minimum $150 food and beverage purchase.

Perks: Free, fully equipped meeting space for a 2-hour window and priority planning support. Full AV: projection screen, HDMI/wireless connection, microphone. Whiteboard and markers. Complimentary coffee or infused water station. Dedicated parking. Wi-Fi. Dedicated event manager for the booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Plate Above offers competitively priced catering to every client. Qualifying nonprofits that book on a Monday also receive Mission Mondays perks: a free, fully equipped meeting space for a 2-hour window and priority planning support. The menu itself is priced the same every day.

Fundraisers, galas, donor receptions, volunteer appreciation events, community events, training lunches and faith- or school-based gatherings.

7 days’ notice is requested. No penalty, just communication, so the slot can be offered to another organization.

Mission Mondays

Yes. For up to a 2-hour rental window, the room, AV, whiteboard and coffee/water
station carry no charge. A $150 food and beverage order applies.

(breakfast, buffets, boxed lunches, snack trays, sandwich platters, beverages).

No, a service charge does not apply.

No room rental fee within the 2-hour window, no equipment fee, no service fee.

The first two hours are free. If your group needs more time, Mission Monday bookings get an exclusive discounted room rate: $75 per hour for the Community Room and $50 per hour for the Bank of America Board Room for each additional hour.
